How to Find Your Lawn Mowers Serial Number

For John Deere, Stiga, Castelgarden, Husqvarna & more

Finding your lawn mower’s serial number is the first step to getting the right parts. Without it, we can’t guarantee a perfect match. This guide shows you exactly where to look for brands we sell parts for, with tips to make the process quick and easy.

John Deere and Sabre mowers

What we need: The Product Identification Number (PIN) - Usually 16 or 17 digits.

Ride-on tractors: Look for a credit-card-sized label in one or two places:
1.    Above the towbar mount at the back of the tractor
2.    On the chassis beside the right front wheel

Zero Turn mowers: The label is above the engine, on the frame.
-    You can send us the number, a photo of the barcode, or a clear photo of the full label.

Example PIN formats:
-    1M0X750AEMM123456
-    1TC920MCPHT040321

Tip: John Deere parts lookup covers the whole mower, including the engine and transmission.

Stiga and Castelgarden mowers

What we need: The type, serial number, and year from the mower’s label.
Label location: Under the seat
-    A clear, well-lit photo of the label is best.

Example formats:
-    Type: 13-3384-11, Serial N.o: 123456789, Year: 2017
-    Type: 2T2000481/ST2, Serial N.o: 21001234, Year: 2020

Tip: Stiga makes mowers for many brands including Honda, Viking, Masport, John Deere, Castelgarden, Oleo Mac, and Solo. If you need engine parts, we’ll also need the numbers directly from your engine, as Stiga doesn’t cover those.

Husqvarna (and related brands)

What we need: The product number from the mower’s label.
-    Tractors: Under the seat
-    Zero Turn: Above the left rear wheel

Example product number formats:
-    960 4302 15, Serial N.o: 102314A001234
-    967 2715 02, Serial N.o: 092417B000987

Tip: Husqvarna also produces mowers under brands such as Gardena, Jonsered, Poulan, Weedeater, Flymo, and McCulloch. Like Stiga, they don’t supply engine or transmission parts, engine numbers must be provided separately.

How to take the perfect label photo

Use good lighting so the numbers are sharp and easy to read (natural light works best)

Hold the camera steady and make sure the entire label is in frame.

Double-check that the numbers are readable before sending.
